Post Office

The Hampshire College post office will cease regular operations after June 16, 2026.

Students: Please update your mailing address to your home address.

Do not file a change of address form with the United States Postal Service (USPS). Hampshire College is considered a "permanent address," not a "residence," so usual forwarding services do not apply.

Please update your Hampshire address to your home address with Amazon and any other services currently using your Hampshire address, and cancel auto-ship deliveries. Hampshire cannot forward packages.

Students with packages still at the Post Office have received email notifications. If you would like your package shipped to you, create a shipping label and email it to postoffice@hampshire.edu. Any packages remaining after June 10, 2026 will be returned to sender, if possible. Amazon packages must include a return shipping label in order to be returned.

First class mail items left in Hampshire mailboxes have been forwarded to recipients' home addresses.

Students on campus for the summer must receive packages at their mod's address.

Enfield House's mailing address:
62 North Campus Drive
Apt. [number]
Amherst, MA 01002.
Packages sent to Enfield must include an apartment number.

Greenwich House residents will receive packages at the Package Drop-Off Shed:
Package Drop-Off Shed
92 North Campus Drive
Amherst, MA 01002

Please don't pick up other people's packages.

If you are unable to pick up your mail, you may authorize someone to do so. Email postoffice@hampshire.edu with your name, mailbox number, and the name of the person authorized to get your mail. The designated person must know the mailbox number and combination and must show ID at the time of pick-up.

Fall 2026 students will also use their living-area addresses for package delivery (Amazon, UPS, FedEx, etc.). Letters and other USPS mail will be delivered to mailboxes as usual.

Wishing you the best, always!
