The Airport Lounge
Located on the upper floor of the Johnson Library Center, the Airport Lounge was renovated in spring 2002 by a group of students who felt the need for a space on campus where students could convene at night and have access to computers, wireless Internet, and free coffee service.
In 2006, with input from students and Community Council, the space was renovated into its current configuration.
Campus leadership and activities oversees the Airport Lounge and its continued development. Questions about the lounge should be directed to the assistant director for campus leadership and activities at 413.559.5746.
What is available in the Airport Lounge?
- Coffee and tea service: We are proud to offer Dean's Beans coffee. Beverage service is from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. Beverages are free if you bring your own mug, a quarter a cup if you don't.
- Computers and computer equipment: There are four desktop computers for email and Internet work. We are equipped with many outlets and ethernet jacks for laptops, as well as with wireless Internet access. The Airport Lounge is also equipped with a laser printer.
- The Airport Lounge has space for more than forty people, and is bright and cheery to keep you awake while you work through the night.
The Bridge Cafe
The Bridge Cafe is open to the public and located on the second floor of the Robert Crown Center. The name is taken from the bridge that connects Johnson Library's Airport Lounge and the Robert Crown Center. Operated by Bon Appétit Management Company, this upscale retail café is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night, offering a la carte items, a coffee bar, custom prepared meals and ready to go selections.
Adjacent to the Bridge Cafe is a space known as the Upper RCC, which is used as a student social space and a location for events and performances.
