Higher Immigration Portal - Lack of access to financial assistance is often a major barrier to higher education for undocumented students. The scholarships and fellowships compiled on this site are available to undocumented students across the U.S. at the undergraduate and graduate level.

Health Professions Resources by Wellesley Career Education - A site from Wellesley College that provides resources for undocumented immigrants/DACA status students interested in pursuing careers in healthcare and in the sciences.

Immigrants Rising - Tools to help everyone, regardless of immigration status, make money by building their own businesses and working for themselves. Learn how to generate income through entrepreneurship and freelancing.

My Undocumented Life - My Undocumented Life provides up-to-date information and resources to undocumented students, their families, and allies. They post scholarship opportunities that are open to undocumented students, strategies for navigating the educational system while undocumented, information on how to apply for DACA, key upcoming immigration-related events, news on immigration policies, and much more.

FIND RESOURCES: SUPPORT AT EVERY STEP

Immigrant Legal Resource Center (Red Cards) - The ILRC trains attorneys, paralegals, and community-based advocates who work with immigrants around the country. They inform the media, elected officials, and the public to shape effective and just immigration policy and law.

Pioneer Valley Workers’ Center - They help build power with low-wage and immigrant workers across Western Massachusetts. Together they have strengthened communities, organized workplaces, and take political action to win economic and social change for working people.

Guide for Undocumented High School and College Students - A guide for undocumented high school and college students in the United States. They aim to provide a collection of resources for both undocumented and DACA students.

TheDream.Us - TheDream.Us is working to help 6,000 highly motivated DREAMers graduate from college with career-ready degrees. DREAMers are immigrant youth who came to this country at a very young age without documentation.

Regardless of immigration status, undocumented and DACA students in the United States have legal rights. However, they are more likely to face unequal treatment and discrimination when seeking jobs and internships. It is important to know that you have legal employment rights.

Immi - Immi helps immigrants in the U.S. understand their legal options. Their online screening tool, legal information, and referrals to nonprofit legal services organizations are always free.

Hampshire is committed to provide equal opportunities in regards to on-campus employment. Under the federal law, any employee of Hampshire College—student or staff—must have a Social Security Card and be able to provide this to the college before beginning any work for Hampshire.

Therefore, undocumented students are unfortunately not allowed to work for Hampshire College or be paid stipends.
Students who are recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, are provided with an Employment Authorization card (work permit) that allows them to work on-campus.
