The HampStore, your on-campus store, is located on the ground floor of the Harold F. Johnson Library. The HampStore is your source for all officially licensed College apparel as well as a selection of food, drinks, and other supplies for the entire campus community. Heidi Mercer has managed the store for nearly a decade, so come see what she can help you find--whether you're looking for a quick snack between classes or a new Hampshire sweatshirt.
Labor Day through Commencement Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
Saturdays, Noon- 4 p.m. (first two Saturdays of the semester only)
Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
In August 2017 Hampshire College officially took over management of the HampStore, which means the College will both own and operate the facility. This gives the College more flexibility to sell products in line with the College's philosophy, including organic products, sustainably sourced clothing and apparel, as well as food produced here on campus with ingredients sourced from the Hampshire Farm. During this transition there will not be an online store, but the plan for the future is to have a website where some HampStore items can be purchased online.
The HampStore accepts cash, credit cards, and the Hampshire OneCard for payment of items in the store. All fully enrolled students whose accounts are up-to-date with the student accounts office may charge purchases at the campus store using their OneCard; these charges will appear on your billing statement and must be paid within 30 days. Employees of the College who utilize their Hampshire OneCard for payments will have the charges withheld via payroll deduction.
The College has partnered with Amherst Books in downtown Amherst for textbook purchases. Students may shop at Amherst Books and use their OneCard to pay for purchases in the same manner as the HampStore--charges will appear daily on their Hampshire College Student Account.
Faculty may submit textbook requests to Amherst Books using their online form, by email, or by printing out a PDF Requisition Form. Drop it by, call it in to 413.256.1547 or 800.503.5865, or fax it to 413.256.1621. Faculty can find more details on Amherst Books faculty services page.
