The mission of Spiritual Life is to engage the community in questions of meaning, purpose, and how we live in the world, to develop balance of mind, body, and spirit, and to create community across difference. The philosophy of Spiritual Life is to serve the needs of the entire community (student, staff, and faculty), to address those needs from a variety of perspectives within and outside religious structures while also educating about religions and the varieties of way to access, communicate, and translate the  universal nature of those needs.

Spiritual Life and the Peer Chaplaincy Student-to-Student Support Program are the only confidential resource on campus outside health services, and we provide spiritual counseling to students, staff, and faculty. Spiritual Life is part of community advocacy, which also includes multicultural and international student services, women's and queer services, and the Wellness Center.
