Fall Semester 2026
Hamshire Counseling Services (HCS) provides mental health services to Hampshire College students, when school is in session. (For Fall 2026, the College no longer offers on-campus medical or pharmacy services.)
Hours & Information
- Office: 413-559-5458 (including 24/7 phone support)
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–12:00 and 12:45–4:30 p.m. (Closed daily from 12:00–12:45 p.m. for lunch)
- Location: On the east side of the campus, across from the Red Barn
- Appointments: Students may call the office (413.559.5458) or use the patient portal to schedule an appointment
- School breaks: Over October break and Thanksgiving break, the clinic will be closed.

- University of Massachusetts Health Services: The UHS Walk-In Clinic (WIC), is open 11 a.m.–5 p.m. on weekends and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays. To be seen in the WIC please join the virtual waiting room, and you will be informed of your appointment time.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS REGARDING FALL 2026
On-Campus Counseling and Mental Health Services (Open September 8)
- Counseling and mental health support will continue to be available to all enrolled students.
- Counseling appointments will be in Montague Hall, across from the Red Barn, or via Zoom upon request.
- Office hours: M-F 9:00-4:30 (closed 12-12:45 for lunch)
- 24/7 telephone support will continue to be available by calling the office (413-559-5458) and then choosing option 1 to speak with a clinician.
- You may call the office (413-559-5458) to schedule appointments or leave messages for your clinician.
- You may also communicate with the office or with your clinician through the patient portal (https://umass.medicatconnect.com/login.aspx).
- There is no cost for counseling appointments and sessions will not be billed to your health insurance.
Off-Campus Medical and Pharmacy Services
· Hampshire no longer provides medical care or related health care services on campus.
· Hampshire students may access medical care in person at UMass, University Health Services (UHS). (Please see additional options in the table below.)
· There is no longer pharmacy delivery, prescription pick-up or over-the-counter medication available on-campus at Health and Counseling Services.
· Students have several options for filling prescription medications including the UHS Pharmacy.
· All medical and immunization records are available by contacting the Health Records Department at University Health Services at UMass Amherst (413-577-5114).
All enrolled Hampshire students are eligible to receive medical care through UMASS, University Health Services. Please be sure to have your up-to-date health insurance information when scheduling and arriving at your appointment.

As in previous years, Hampshire students may continue to use the UHS Pharmacy, but you will pick up your medication in-person at the UHS pharmacy. Students may also use other local pharmacies.
