Purchasing Office

General Information

The purchasing office provides assistance to all departments with procuring equipment, furniture, services, and supplies. Our mission is to direct employees charged with purchasing for the College to goods and services that provide high quality and service at the lowest possible cost. The purchasing manual is intended to clarify what is expected of any employee or other authorized representative of Hampshire who makes purchases on the College's behalf.

Purchasing Manual 

The purchasing manual serves as a reference for those who, in their role as representatives of Hampshire College, purchase goods and/or services to be used in the pursuit of its mission.

It contains a summary of the policies and procedures that have been developed to guide these actions. The explicit goal of these policies are threefold: to ensure the health and safety of the College's faculty, staff, and students; to encourage behavior in this area that adheres to both legal and ethical standards; and to facilitate a method of obtaining goods and services that protects the financial interests of the College.
