OPRA offers basic, intermediate, and advanced emergency medical response classes for those who need a certification or are just interested in being able to help a co-worker, loved one, or stranger when an emergency arises.
We also offer a defensive driving course, which presents safer driving strategies for operators of College vehicles. The course fulfills the requirement for becoming an approved driver of College vehicles.

This course covers the material needed for certification by the American Red Cross in First Aid. Lecture and video instruction, combined with skills practice and testing, will prepare each student to cope with various injury and illness situations. After successful completion, students will receive American Red Cross First Aid certification, valid for three years.
This course will cover the material needed for certification by the American Red Cross in Adult CPR/AED. Lecture and video instruction, combined with skills practice and testing will prepare each student to cope with various injury and illness situations. After successful completion, students will receive American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED certification, valid for one year.
This course is a fast-paced, hands-on training designed to meet the needs of trip leaders, camp staff, outdoor enthusiasts and individuals working in remote locales. It will introduce you to caring for those who become ill or injured far from definitive medical care. Successful completion results in a two-year Solo Wilderness First Aid certification. CPR not included in this course.
Lifeguard Training Recertification
For those currently certified in lifeguard training to renew their certification. Must be able to pass the check-out swim. All participants who qualify will receive a three-year certificate of completion for Lifeguard Training. This training does not include professional rescuer CPR.
