Campus Safety and Wellbeing

Campus Safety and Wellbeing (CSW) at Hampshire College, part of the Justice, Equity, and Antiracism (JEA) Division, is dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors. We prioritize both the physical and emotional well-being of our community, ensuring that everyone feels valued and protected.

Collaborating closely with Residence Life, Campus Safety and Wellbeing (CSW) offers programs like safety escorts, quiz cart, fire pit safety and reservations, and other supportive services like bike and vehicle registration to build trust and foster belonging. Our approach centers the person who we are interacting with and is rooted in justice and equity, emphasizing non-clinical mental health support by our team members, de-escalation, and effective communication both verbal and non-verbal, all while honoring the diverse identities within our community.

In CSW, we are here to help. We support you here, you are welcome here, and you belong here.
