The Information Technology Help Desk provides a first point of contact for IT assistance to the Hampshire College community and guests. Help Desk staff answer communication received via telephone and email, guiding clients through processes, assisting with HampNet account activation, password problems, and account maintenance. They direct inquiries to the appropriate office and delegate complex issues to other IT staff as needed.
Faculty and staff in each of the five interdisciplinary schools have a dedicated support person for individual support needs. Kate MacGregor works with members of the School for Interdisciplinary Arts; School of Humanities, Arts, and Cultural Studies; and the School of Critical Social Inquiry. Jeff Schmittlein works with members of School of Natural Science and Wm. Josiah Erikson assists members of the School of Cognitive Science.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
The Student Diagnostic Center (SDC) is staffed by IT student technicians and is supervised by IT user support staff.
