As a key component of the Division of Finance and Administration, the Business Office is dedicated to supporting the philosophy, mission, and strength of the Hampshire community. By providing timely, effective business services; enabling direct access to information and resources; and continuously improving our policies and procedures, we promote the financial health and safeguard the financial resources of the College.
Business Office
The Business Office delivers a wide range of financial management services that incorporate innovative business practices and maintain compliance with all mandated financial regulations. We provide the Hampshire community with best-practice financial support, guidance, and consultation, and are committed to delivering consistently accurate fiscal information for use in strategic planning and institutional growth.
Functions include:
- Executive-level budgetary planning
- Oversight of business office functions and campus operations
- Major expenditures, contracts, and insurance
- Endowments and investments
- Departmental budget oversight and access
- Programmatic and special activity funds
- Taxes
- Stale property/expired checks
- Bank deposits
- Journal entries
- Budget transfers
- Vendor maintenance
- Accounts Payable: purchase orders, invoices, and check payments
- Purchasing cards
- Purchasing policies and procedures

Student Accounts Office
The Student Accounts Office is the student- and parent-facing component of the Business Office. Student Accounts works closely with Financial Aid. Functions include:
- Student Accounts
- Billing for tuition, health insurance, and fees
- Student Account balance collection and payment processing
